Hailed by many as the greatest and most realistic TV series ever written and produced. Yep you got it its The Wire, and finally some UK TV programme coordinator has decided to show it.
MASSIVE KUDOS TO BBC2!!!
For years The Wire has been shown throughout the US and has been critically acclaimed by hundreds of people, yet for some reason UK channels have never attempted to broadcast it. Now BBC2 has taken up the challenge and has started, and is going to show all 5 series at 11:20pm weekdays.
Explaining just how brilliant The Wire is impossible. It’s creative genius and realism is unmatched by any other TV series. It is full-stop the greatest series out there, but don’t just take my word for it watch Charlie Brooker’s Tapping The Wire and you will see. Sit back on the sofa and take a look.
Charlie Brooker -Tapping The Wire pt.1
Charlie Brooker -Tapping The Wire pt.2
Charlie Brooker -Tapping The Wire pt.3
This is my favourite scene of all time from The Wire. In this scene Bunk and McNulty manage to work and solve a crime scene purely using expletives, their deductions are almost telepathic and they work in complete tandem to analyse the scene and get the job done. It’s pure genius take a look.
